Pastor Ken Jackson

The seventies were an exciting time politically, socially and musically.  Fashion left a lot to be desired.  The Jesus People were wrapping up their impact on churches and the Spirit of God was still on the move.

It was in the midst of the "born-again" revival that Ken came under conviction that he needed Jesus Christ in his life.  Calling out to God for mercy and forgiveness brought a peace that passed any previously known.

Soon after, Ken's wife Terry, received the grace of God and was saved.  They married in 1978 and have raised six kids together.  Now they have six grandchildren to add to the mix.

Ken and Terry immediately surrendered their lives to the Lord for whatever ministry He directed them.  After their ministry training they spent a year in Nairobi, Kenya, with International Missions, Inc (Now Cristar).  They have also served in several churches in Delaware, Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

In 2006 they started Cornerstone Church along with several families who were interested in being a church that focused on the gospel commission, which Jesus gave, and the teaching of the Bible as God's Word.

A new church building became a reality for us in 2016 when we were gifted with a house, ten acres of land and a worship center.  God is still on the move!

Two rules Pastor Ken lives by: 1. Love Jesus; 2. Love the Eagles. The first is easier than the second.

Cornerstone is a group of believers in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.  We believe that His call to be a disciple involves knowing Him and making Him known to others.  It calls us to surrender unrealistic expectations and live by faith in all God promises.

The early church continued in teaching the doctrine given by the apostles, they gathered for fellowship, worship and prayer, remembering the sacrifice Jesus made in His body and blood as they eat the bread and drink the cup of communion.

We aspire to become known as a church which demonstrates grace in all of our encounters and seeks to aid others to stand in that grace.

Cornerstone became a member church of Mission-Mid Atlantic in 2015.
