FAQ
What activities will my child do each day in camp?
We start out each day with introductions and songs. Then, children rotate in groups through music time, game time, movie/ lesson time, gym and snack time (during snack time a light snack is provided. ex: pretzels, goldfish). We end each day with singing.
Who are the camp teachers and leaders?
The camp is being run by Amazing Grace Church and Cornerstone Church. The directors have NJ teaching certifications. The teachers and leaders are church volunteers. All adult volunteers have been background checked.
What should my child wear/bring to camp?
Your child should wear clothes and shoes that are comfortable for indoor and outdoor play. They should bring a reusable water bottle and a beach towel (on hot days we will play water games outside). Please mark any items your child brings to camp with your child's name.
Can I stay during camp?
Yes, you are welcome to drop off/pick up or stay and wait for your child. If you would like to stay, you can sit in the pews in the back half of the sanctuary.
What will my child learn at camp?
This year our camp is building and construction truck themed! The themes for each day are:
1. Building on God's Word
2. God's Love can't be Measured
3. Jesus Paves the Way
Kids will learn in a variety of fun ways through music, games, videos, and crafts. We want camp to be a FUN and educational experience.
Are there any costs for summer camp?
Nope, this camp is totally free for all kids who are registered! Amazing Grace Church and Cornerstone Church are happy to be able to provide this no cost summer activity for kids.
Why only 50 spots?
We've limited the size of our camp so we can focus on giving every camper a great experience in a small group setting.
If registration fills up, please email cornerstonesummercamp@gmail.com so we can add you to a wait list.
I registered my child, but s/he can no longer attend the camp. Who should I contact?
Please email cornerstonesummercamp@gmail.com with your child's name and a request to cancel the registration prior to the first day of camp. This will allow us to open the spot for another camper.
Do you have a preschool program?
At this time, we only have preschool for the children of volunteers who will be on site for the duration of summer camp, as a way to provide child care for them while they volunteer.
